What is my approach as a therapist?
I follow a eclectic approach. I work from a pastoral and psychology realm.
I am willing to work short- or long-term, according to your preference and the nature of your difficulty.
What can you expect from therapy?
The first onboarding session take the form of a storytelling and discussion in order to determine the precise nature and full complexity of your difficulty. At the end of the 90 min session I offer a personalised gameplan for therapy. We will then agree together on whether only a few sessions, or a longer-term therapy, are appropriate.
Sessions last 60 minutes. For first time clients, please expect your onboarding session to last 90 minutes.

- Enhancing personal growth:ย When understood at a deeper level, lifeโs setbacks challenges and crises can be transformed into rich opportunities for growth.
- Depression: Depression is an intense form of suffering that is often misunderstood and judged by those around the sufferer. Yet if properly understood, your depression can turn out to be a remarkable wellspring of new possibilities. I am interested in depression generally and have a particular interest in pre- and postnatal depression.
- Anxiety and panic:ย People who suffer from anxiety and panic are often told to โpull themselves togetherโ and may carry a heavy burden of shame as a result. Yet these very real forms of distress, when approached with insight and without judgement, are very treatable.
- Bereavement, loss and Grief:ย Grief may persist long after others think we should have โgot over itโ and โmoved onโ, but is one of the most painful forms of suffering. A warmly supportive space in which to work through the full complexity of your feelings can be extremely valuable, no matter what the cause of your grief.
- Trauma:ย Trauma is often devastating to the way we see ourselves and brings with it very painful emotions. The task of dealing with the trauma can be made even harder by the well-meaning but unhelpful reactions of friends, family and co-workers. Therapy allows the trauma survivor to regain control and heal in their own way.
- Career/work/lifestyle stress:ย I am interested in the stresses and challenges of the contemporary lifestyle, particularly in the workplace when there is a tension between the demands of an organization and an individualโs personal growth path.
- Personal development (self-awareness: Persons who have either a difficulty expressing or managing emotions; or experience emotional discomfort/distress due to depression/despair, anxiety/fear, apathy, anger, emptiness, meaninglessness, helplessness, vulnerability, loneliness, abandonment and rejection.ย
Persons struggling with self-esteem, self-expression and identity issues which may relate to negative core beliefs and self-talk, self-doubt and judgment, worthlessness, shame, guilt, a sense of not belonging, or lacking purpose and meaning.ย Persons who struggle with issues of intimacy and trust; or persons who find themselves repeating interpersonal behavioral patterns that lead to relationship dissatisfaction, difficulties and conflict (not necessarily with intimate partners).Persons who are interested in personal growth and are curious about their personality structure; or are struggling with existential issues.
